Substantial savings - cold light.

I bought two dozen of these bulbs to replace 50 watt halogens. I saw an immediate and substantial decrease in my electricity costs. The bulbs will have paid for themselves in about 4 months. The only down side is they are not quite as bright as the halogens, and they give off a very pure white - almost blue light. Next time I will go with the warm white bulbs.
